It seems like forever ago that I chose my one little word for 2016.  This word did not come easily to me.  I tried out a few but none of them seemed right for me.  As I turned it over and over in my thoughts, it grew stronger.  It became a part of me.  And then at last, this one little word chose me.

Believe

I believe in big dreams and setting goals.

I believe in my vision and my purpose for this life I am living.

I believe I am learning to be my best me every day.

I believe I am strong and that I can be brave.

I believe I am humble.

I believe I am kind.

I believe in saying please and thank you.

I believe in what my parents taught me about the golden rule.

I believe in marriage and family first every time.

I believe in my faith and that I am blessed beyond words.

I believe in the me that I am and the me I will be.

I believe with all my heart, yes I believe.

The March Slice of Life Story Challenge –  An Online Writing Experience Hosted by The Two Writing Teachers

I chose my one little word on Day 19 of the #SOL15 Challenge. It is now Day 27. When I chose my one little word, I was leaving for vacation the next day. I didn’t have a chance to act on this big decision or to put my plan into place. Well, I’m almost home. I’ve been doing some thinking during my time away. I’m excited to get going! (After all, it’s almost April.)

my one little word
2015

As I’ve been reading past slices, I’ve read some about choosing one little word for the year. A quick search brought me to Ali Edwards’ website where I read about the one little word project.

This is what I learned from Ali:

“A single word can be a powerful thing.
It can be a ripple in the pond that changes everything.”

I have chosen one little word to think about and reflect on daily. I am hoping that this one little word becomes a part of my life and a part of me. I chose this one little word because I feel I need this one little word in my life to create balance.

My Journey (thanks, Ali and Michelle):

  1. Invite this one little word into my life.
  2. Make this one little word visible.
  3. Let this one little word speak to me.
  4. Follow this one little word where it leads me.
  5. Celebrate the journey I’m on with this one little word.
